This community works because members can trust each other. These guidelines explain what that means in practice. By joining, you agree to follow them.
1. Be respectful
Disagree with ideas, not people. Personal attacks, insults, harassment, and discriminatory comments are not allowed.
2. Keep it professional and on topic
Discussions should relate to the article or to leadership, operations, and the workplace. Keep language suitable for a professional setting.
3. No selling or solicitation
Do not use comments, profiles, or the member directory to advertise, recruit, or pitch products or services. This includes contacting members you found in the directory with unrequested sales offers.
4. Protect confidential information
Do not share your employer’s confidential information, trade secrets, or internal documents. Never post personal information about customers, coworkers, or employees. Describe situations in general terms instead.
5. Use your real identity
Your profile should reflect who you are and your actual role. Impersonating someone or misrepresenting your credentials will result in removal.
6. Respect the directory
The member directory is for networking among members only. Do not copy, export, or share member information outside the community.
7. Share responsibly
When you cite a statistic, study, or article, say where it came from. Label opinions as opinions.
8. Report problems
If you see something that breaks these guidelines, use the contact form and choose “Membership question.”
How These Guidelines Are Enforced
I review applications and may edit or remove comments, profiles, or other content that does not follow these guidelines. Members who repeatedly or seriously break them may be suspended or removed. Decisions are made at my discretion to protect the community.
Comments and profiles reflect the views of individual members, not mine or those of any employer.
